Biography
Donata Francescato received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston in 1972 and a Post Doctor Fellowship from the University of BRANDEIS (Massachusetts).
She is full professor of Community Psychology at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
He is the Scientific Director of the Ecopoiesis Network which has been organizing biennial Masters since 1982 to promote individual, group and organizational empowerment.
He is Scientific Director of the Specialization School of Humanistic Psychotherapy and Clinical and Community Psychology at the ASPIC in Rome.
He is Coordinator of the European Network of Community Psychology and member of the European Network of Affective Education. She is a founding member of the European Association Of Community Psychology (ECPA)
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Journal of Social and Community Psychology, and of the Global Journal of Community Practice, and of Community Psychology.
You have designed highly innovative training activities also implemented in European and non-European countries.
She is the author of 23 books, translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French and Japanese and of approximately 150 articles in Italian and international journals on social psychology topics (particularly in the fields of environmental psychology, political psychology, community psychology and child psychology). groups, and gender studies) It has also conducted studies on the evaluation of various face-to-face and online training methods and on the organizational development of private, public and third sector settings. From 1992 to 1995 she was National Scientific Coordinator of a scientific research program of national interest Ex 40%: “Women in development processes”, interdisciplinary research which involved colleagues from various disciplines (Economics, Sociology and Geopolitics) of the Universities of Ferrara, Modena and Turin.
The research produced numerous publications and was funded for three consecutive years from 1992 to 1995.
She was National Coordinator of the MURST project 2000-2002: “Distance learning and cognitive empowerment: compared learning models”.
